Biography

 

Chris Gatt came into lighting design by way of his other career as a theatre director.

Based in Malta he has directed both for the fringe and main stages working  both on classical and contemporary plays as well as devised and site-specific performances. 

His lighting design is equally wide-ranging and has included pantomimes,  musicals, dance and opera. 

Chris is equally at home working on tight budgets, limited time-scales with a minimal amount of instruments as well as large scale productions.

He has lit many of the more important shows in Malta and has also worked in theatres around Europe.
