Christopher Flux
Biography
Chris studied in Edinburgh graduating from Queen Margaret’s University with a BA in Stage Management and Technical theatre. Staying in Scotland he working on many fringe productions over 6 years of festivals before moving on to regional and international touring.
In 2005 Chris moved to the Haymarket in Basingstoke as technical manager and resident designer in their final season as an independent venue he lit ‘The Weir’, ‘Blue on Blue’ and ‘Private Lives’ Afterwards he joined the newly built Curve in Leicester as their technical manager. During Curves’ first 6 years he working on all of their major in house produced shows, Including The Pillowman, As You Like It, The Light in the Piazza, All My Sons, His Dark Materials Part 1, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, Molly Sweeney, Translations, The Long Road, Hot Stuff 2010, The King & I, Absurd Person Singular, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Buried Child, 42nd Street, West Side Story, Gypsy, Oliver, Entertaining Mr Sloan, Hello Dolly, Hot Stuff 2013, Beauty Queen of Leenane, Chicago & Hairspray.
Currently he is technical manager for Europe for the Aditi Mangaldas Dance Company, he has also been their relighter at many events including Perth International Arts Festival, British Dance Edition and Sibiu International Theatre Festival
Recent design credits include ‘My Dogs got no Nose’ ‘Crocodiles in Cream’ ‘Treasure Island’ ‘Colour of Me’ ‘Ventoux’ 'and Jungle Book'
