Biography

Hugo is a Performance Designer, working across disciplines of set, lighting, and video design.

He trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School after reading Italian and History of Art at UCL, for which he spent a year working as an electrician and lighting design assistant at Teatro alla Scala in Milan. He likes to work in a collaborative and interdisciplinary way, with a focus on integrated visual dramaturgy.

Hugo's credits include work in theatre, dance and opera at Sader's Wells, Bristol Old Vic, Soho Place, Riverside Studios, Tobacco Factory Theatres, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, as well as numerous fringe and off-West End productions.

Hugo is based in Bristol, UK and is a visiting lighting tutor at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
