Biography
Katy is an experienced lighting designer working throughout the UK covering theatre, opera, dance and live performance. Based in Cardiff, she has established trusted connections with the major theatres across Wales.
Recent productions include The Suspicions of Mr Whicher (Watermill Theatre, Newbury), A Dead Body in Taos (Fuel Theatre/BOV/ Wilton’s Music Hall), Waldo’s Circus of Magic & Terror (Bristol Old Vic/UK Tour), Cinderella (Chester Storyhouse), A Gig For Ghosts (Soho Upstairs/ 45North), Wife of Cyncoed, Goldilocks, Hero of the People, The Snow Queen and Alice in Wonderland (Sherman Theatre), Possible (National Theatre Wales), A Tale of Two Cities (Lost Dog), The In Between (Theatre Clwyd/ National Youth Arts Wales), ANTHEM (Wales Millennium Centre), The Glee Club for (Out of Joint UK Tour) and The Violence Series (The Other Room).
Katy is also a lecturer and supervisor at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and was part of the lighting team at Sherman Theatre for many years. Katy has worked as an Associate Designer and re-lighter for major productions and renowned lighting designers.
