William Sheils

William is a training lighting designer working actively in the entertainment industry covering theatre, music, corporate events and architecture.

Based in Glasgow, Scotland, William is currently training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Despite being at the early stage of his career William has 3 years experience in the industry including nearly 50 designs at various levels including festival stages, musicals and concert performances at professional level.

William is primarily an Avolites programmer but has competency in chamsys and ETC. He uses Vectorworks and Capture for drafting and pre visualisation.

As well as lighting design William commonly works with projection and LED wall and utilises Avolites Ai media servers to blend lights and video.

William owns an Avolites control package featuring touch screens, Avolites Titan Mobile + Wing and relevant spec PC.

William is a member of the ALPD, Association of Stage Pyrotechnicians and BECTU.
