White Light to show products of use, such as wireless control, versatile dimming and energy-efficient lighting to architectural, event and retail lighting designers at The ARC Show 2008, February 11th-13th in London.Leading entertainment lighting supplier White Light returns for a second year to The ARC Show, the RIBA-accredited business event for those involved in architectural, retail and commercial lighting which takes place at the Business Design Centre in Islington, north London, from February 11th-13th.
The exclusive UK distributor for a wide range of product manufacturers from around the world, White Light’s eye-catching stand will feature images of a number of products of interest to those working in these fields of lighting, from LSC in Australia, LDDE in Austria, ELC in the Netherlands and Wireless Solutions in Sweden.
LSC Lighting manufactures a wide range of dimming and lighting control products suitable for installations of all scales. LSC’s multi-tasking EKO dimmers are designed to adapt to the requirements of venues where they have more than one purpose, providing the perfect blend of both theatrical DMX control and push button architectural operation. Their two-piece design means that the EKO mounting bracket and all associated cabling can be pre-installed, even months before the dimmers are delivered to site. This ensures less damage, as well as better cash flow for the installer and the client.
LDDE manufactures a range of energy-efficient, colour-mixing lighting fixtures, including the SpectraConnecT5, the world’s first fully dimmable T5 fluorescent colour mixing system, and the SpectraLimeLed LED colour mixing system. Both offer high output and smooth fading while using dramatically less power than conventional lighting systems.
Wireless Solutions are the creators of the class-leading W-DMX wireless DMX system, which has been used to control the lighting on events everywhere from the Pyramids in Egypt to the 2008 Olympic Games Countdown in Beijing and, closer to home, at the Eurovision Song Contest, where W-DMX distributed six universes of control data to lighting rigged on moving trusses. With products designed to deal with every possible use of wireless lighting data, W-DMX is the perfect choice for those lighting events or large scale products with lighting equipment widely distributed or located in places not easily reached by cable.
ELC manufactures DMX data recorders and playback facilities. Designers looking for cost-effective playback of pre-programmed lighting will be interested in the showSTORE and miniSTORE DMX playback systems. They record shows created on full-featured lighting controllers and then play them back triggered by conditions such as contact closures, time or other events. MiniSTORES were used to great effect on the Natural History Museum Dino Jaws travelling exhibition, amongst other projects.
