Schnick-Schnack-Systems have introduced a series of new products, aimed at increasing the flexibility and connectivity of their various ranges; while also making them more accessible and affordable to smaller scale users - without sacrificing the quality of materials and manufacturing, which are central to the company’s philosophy. The Pixel Gate is a unique product in the marketplace, which effortlessly converts DVi or SDi digital video into ArtNet data, using an LED pixel patch created on a PC and saved onto an SD card. It’ll be interesting to see it hooked up to the new LED-Paneel C60-25, which offers med-res video possibilities to LDs, with its 25mm raster.
Schnick-Schnack anticipate that the DMX Recorder and DMX Player units will be of most interest in the retail / museum / exhibition display markets - along with the Big Intelli Family - which bring the price of simple, hardware-based DMX LED dimming to within reach of even the individual user.
Last - but by no means least - is the Sys One power supply. More than just a cheap PSU - its size and convection cooling allow for installation almost anywhere, even in noise-sensitive locations. It can be driven by DMX or ArtNet and it has a built-in DMX recorder - so it can be used as a stand-alone controller, too. A highly flexible unit, at a very reasonable price.
