March 16 will see the staff of Central Theatre Supplies Birmingham mirror what most of their customers do week in and week out by taking a show to the Solihull Arts Complex Theatre - for one day only!Working alongside Central Theatre Supplies to ensure the day is a success and informative for visitors will be Zero88 and their ORB lighting console. Building on 40 years of business, this UK based company has a reputation for building equipment that can outlast many of the venues it’s installed in.
Many theatre technicians remember with fondness the Sirius 24 that they operated at their first venue and the BetaPack dimmer series that proves almost impossible to blow up!
Zero88 will be bringing with them the latest generation of their console line – the ORB - which is receiving a lot of compliments from technicians that use it and the venues that buy it. The ORB encompasses a lot of those features that technicians have envied in consoles from other manufacturers at many times the price. Now, however, the ORB brings them within affordable reach of many venues.
Visitors to the show will be able to see ORB working alongside some of Central Theatre Supplies LED fixtures and see how easy it makes them to use and create lighting. There will also be examples of the smaller Zero88 desks like the Jester for venues and schools that don’t need the features and flexibility of the ORB either to replace existing and aging equipment or to install in new spaces.
Central Theatre Supplies hope the day will dispel some of the mythology about equipping such spaces and draw on their 30 plus years of experience of helping customers overcome challenges and show that they are the company ‘Central for all your needs’.
