Indian Cinema Shines Bright with Claypaky Fixtures

Claypaky lighting is playing a major role in the entertainment industry in India with a host of music video and motion picture credits.  Lighting Designers Imran Shaikh and Naresh Bhutedia, with Light Craft & Sound Pvt. Ltd. in Mumbai, deployed a wide array of Claypaky fixtures on recent projects. Bhutedia served as the Lighting Designer for the recent music video "Bijuliya" from the movie Deva, which required an array of moving and special effects lighting. Claypaky fixtures used included the Sharpy X-Frame, Volero Wave, and Tambora Batten.

The Sharpy X-Frame was chosen for its powerful beam and wide projection angle. The Volero Wave provided a dynamic pixel-mapping effect, while the Tambora Batten offered a smooth, even field of light. Bhutedia commented, "The Sharpy X-Frame gave us the punch and impact we needed for this number. The Volero Wave created the perfect backlight effects, and the Tambora Batten produced a beautiful surface illumination. These Claypaky fixtures have become staple in my lighting toolkit."

Claypaky also played a key role in lighting the recent release Deva, directed by Shiva Kumar. Lighting Designer Imran Shaikh said, "We selected Claypaky's Sharpy and Tambora Flash fixtures because of their flexibility, high performance and reliability. The Sharpys provided us with powerful beam effects, while the Tambora Flash units delivered dynamic flashes and strobe effects."

Both Bhutedia and Shaikh praised Claypaky for the quality and performance of their fixtures, as well as the outstanding support from the Claypaky team in India. "The service and support from Claypaky have been exceptional," said Bhutedia. "Their attention to detail and responsiveness have been invaluable in helping us deliver these productions."
