Initially produced as part of the Traverse's fringe programme, the production went on to fulfil an international tour. Ulster American won the Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award and a Scotsman Fringe First in 2018 as well as Best New Play, Best Production and Best Female Performance by the Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland 2019.
