Lighting designer Jordan Green created engaging lighting effects for the musical "Dzsungel Könyve" (The Jungle Book) using gels, gobos and a little fog.

As the spotlight of the Knight of Illumination awards moves from centre stage for another year, the Association of Lighting Designers (ALD) can proudly acknowledge the success of its members in the winning line-ups across all the disciplines of live performance lighting.

It is with deep regret that we have to announce the death of ALD Fellow Francis Reid. Francis was a founding member of the Association, playing a key role in establishing the practice of stage lighting design and the role of Lighting Designer in the UK.

The ALD is excited to announce the launch of the Michael Northen Bursary for 2016. This years competition is being brought forward in the year, with the awards presentation taking place at the ABTT Theatre Show, in London on the 23rd June 2016.
